Georgia Natural Gas Launches Marketing Campaign
Featuring ‘Gas Guy®’ and New Tagline

Campaign to Highlight Company’s Position as Market Leader

ATLANTA – Georgia Natural Gas (GNG), the state’s largest natural gas provider, today launched a new integrated, multimedia marketing campaign featuring Gas Guy, the company’s sophisticated and knowledgeable spokesflame, and a new tagline – There’s Only  During the campaign, consumers may notice that Gas Guy is fitter than ever, and he’s delivering GNG’s messages in an entertaining, yet well-informed style.

The campaign will include extensive out-of-home, radio, television and direct marketing supported by personal appearances by Gas Guy.  A recognized expert in natural gas, Gas Guy will use his friendly and clever personality to remind consumers of GNG’s position as market leader and to focus on the company being Georgia-based and a leader in customer satisfaction.

“This campaign reinforces our position as a credible, experienced energy partner for Georgia consumers; it focuses on our commitment to outstanding customer service for our more than half a million customers,” said Mike Braswell, president of GNG. 

According to John Jamieson, GNG’s senior vice president of retail operations, “The campaign will reinforce the brand attributes that have made GNG the choice of more Georgians than any other natural gas company. The highly regarded and frequently recognized Gas Guy is the ideal vehicle to communicate our messages.”

GNG’s marketing partners are all Georgia-based companies, including the company’s agency of record, Hauser Group, whose creative team developed the new campaign, including the radio, television, out-of-home and digital advertising elements.  Fitzpatrick & Lewis PR provided public relations support, Level 1 Design handled graphic design of collateral materials, see see eye provided creative web design and Kellen Interactive implemented the web design.

Creative Director Derrick Ogilvie supervised the creative effort at Hauser Group along with Associate Creative Director Michael Powell.  John Padgett supervised media planning and buys. Group Account Director Suzanne Blankenship led the account team along with Account Supervisor Spencer Lange.
