Georgia Natural Gas® Price Plans - Something for Everyone!
Choosing the price plan that's right for you doesn't have to be difficult. Georgia Natural Gas offers competitive price plans designed to meet customers' individual needs.
The following chart shows all of our price plans currently available for new GNG customers, as well as our current rates and terms. Please carefully read the notes for each plan. The following information is updated and new prices are posted on the 5th of each month. Please note that GNG reserves the right to limit the availability of certain price plans.
Variable Price Plans - What You Need to Know
Under a variable price plan, your gas service is billed at a competitive price per therm that may change or remain the same each month based on market conditions. No contract is required. Customers who are at least 65 years old and have a total household income of $14,355 or less may qualify for a special senior discount off their standard variable default price plan. Qualifying seniors will receive a reduction of up to $14.00 on their monthly Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGLC) Base Charge, and GNG will lower their variable price by several cents per therm. GNG's variable prices listed below apply to customers with a beginning meter reading date (which appears as the "Prior Meter Reading Date" on their bill) on or after May 5, 2016. GNG customers on a variable plan may choose another GNG price plan for which they currently qualify without a credit check.
Residential Variable Price Plans

Plan has 2 tiers: Tier 1 price (1 - 74 therms in billing cycle) is guaranteed to be no higher than GNG's standard variable price offer. Tier 2 price (75+ therms used in a billing period) is guaranteed to be at least $0.10 per therm lower than Tier 1 price. No contract required.||5/5/16|
|Senior Discount||$30.28||$0.869||$3.99 - $6.99||CSC is based on credit criteria/payment history. Age, income restrictions apply. Qualifying seniors enrolled on GNG's Variable Select plan receive a discounted price per therm guaranteed to be lower than our standard variable price offer.||5/5/16|
|Monthly promotional plan available to qualified new customers who switch to GNG or provide an applicable promotion code at the time of enrollment or who enroll through an applicable marketing agent or online channel. Promotional price per therm and $0.00 customer service charge for first two months only. After first two months, customer will be billed under the Variable Select plan with applicable price per therm and customer service charge based on credit criteria at the time of enrollment.||5/5/16|
|Under this plan for new GNG customers, customer pays in advance for service. No deposit is required, but customer must make initial payment before service begins. Customer’s bill goes through monthly true-up, which compares pre-pay amount to actual charges. The difference is applied to customer’s next bill. If bill becomes past due, service is subject to disconnection 5 days after due date on customer’s bill. Commercial Variable Price Plans*
Guaranteed BillSM Plan (Residential and Commercial) – What You Need to Know
GNG’s exclusive Guaranteed Bill plans protect customers against fluctuations in both weather and natural gas prices. Regardless of what happens with the weather or market prices during the term of the agreement, a customer on these plans pays a set amount (Guaranteed Bill Charge) each standard service period during the term. The Guaranteed Bill Charge is based in part upon the historical gas usage at your premises and assumes normal/average weather. The Guaranteed Bill Charge includes all standard recurring monthly charges, but does not include state and local taxes or one-time charges such as connection or late charges. GNG will prorate the Guaranteed Bill Charge for non-standard service periods (those fewer than 27 days or longer than 33 days). If a customer terminates the Guaranteed Bill plan before the end of the agreement, an early termination charge may apply. The current early termination charge for customers who sign up on the 12-month Guaranteed Bill Plan is $100 if canceled during the first 6 months of the agreement, and $75 if canceled during the last 6 months. Fixed Price Plans - What You Need to Know
Under a fixed price plan, gas service is billed at a fixed price per therm. GNG uses the fixed price in effect when the customer enrolls on the plan to calculate the customer's gas charges for the full length of the agreement. If a customer terminates a fixed plan before the end of the agreement, an early termination charge may apply.
