As our community continues to feel the impact of this challenge, you can take comfort knowing that Georgia Natural Gas (GNG) will continue to provide the affordable and reliable natural gas service that you depend on.

The Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) suspension of disconnections for non-payment was lifted on July 1, 2020 and the disconnection process will start back at that time. Please be aware that a larger-than-normal number of customers could be disconnected in a short period of time, resulting in disruption of service and/or longer wait times to connect with our customer service team for those who need assistance.

We encourage you to take action before the AGL suspension ends to avoid any disruption in your gas service.

The moratorium on disconnections for non-payments may be extended beyond August 1 for medically fragile customers required to continue sheltering at home. If you qualify as medically fragile, please call us at 1-877-850-6200.
We recognize that the situation surrounding the COVID-19 may cause financial challenges for some of our customers who may be impacted by employment changes or business slowdowns. To help with bill management and payments, GNG offers payment arrangement options. Please call 877-850-6200 to speak with a customer service agent about your options.
We are unable to forgive outstanding balances; however, help is available for customers who need additional assistance with their energy bill. Please visit atlantagaslight.com/residential/energy-assistance for a comprehensive list of energy assistance options.
Please be aware that an increased number of customer calls may lead to longer wait times when trying when trying to make or report payments through our call center. Skip these potentially longer hold times by using our easy, convenient online payment options.

At GNG, we are committed to doing our part to help our community during this challenging time. GNG is investing $200,000 to Georgia-based nonprofit organizations to support their work to provide essential services and financial assistance.
The funding will be distributed to various metro Atlanta agencies including Giving Kitchen which provides financial assistance to food service workers in crisis. Additional organizations that will receive funding include Meals On Wheels, A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehab, and Visiting Nurse Health System which provides in-home care to patients affected by COVID-19.
